Hosting provider Aéza has published a summary of the key changes introduced across its services in June. The update includes mandatory two-factor authentication, weekly VPS billing, the return of SSH keys, a new promotional server lineup in Poland, and plans for a redesigned website and billing panel. Judging by the list, the development team spent June treating the roadmap less like a plan and more like a speedrun.
Two-Factor Authentication Is Now Mandatory
One of the most significant changes is the introduction of mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA) for all Aéza accounts. Every user must now use an additional verification step when logging in, a move intended to improve account security.
For customers, it means one extra step during login. For anyone attempting unauthorized access, it means discovering that optimism is not an authentication method.
Weekly VPS Billing Introduced
Aéza has also added a weekly rental option for virtual servers.
The new billing model is aimed at temporary projects, testing environments, short-term development work, migrations, and other workloads that do not justify paying for an entire month. Not every server dreams of a long and stable career. Some are born purely to survive a weekend test.
SSH Keys Return
Another notable update is the return of SSH key support.
Users can now configure SSH keys when ordering a server, reinstalling the operating system, or managing settings in their account profile. This allows for more convenient and secure access to virtual machines without relying solely on passwords.
“Terminator” Goes Offline
During June, Aéza also discontinued its free “Terminator” service, which allowed users to launch Linux and Windows test servers for up to 15 minutes at no cost.
According to the company, the project has been retired to make room for new products and future platform updates. Even free services eventually discover the concept of retirement, though in IT the retirement age is usually measured in roadmap priorities rather than years.
New Poland Promo Servers
The provider has launched a limited “Poland PROMO” VPS lineup.
The entry price starts at €1.99 per month, with the following configuration:
-
1 vCPU
-
4 GB RAM
-
10 GB NVMe storage
-
Up to 300 Mbps network connectivity
The offer is available only on monthly billing and in a limited number of configurations.
Website and Billing Redesign in Development
In addition to infrastructure updates, Aéza confirmed that a redesigned website and billing panel are currently in development.
The company has not yet shared detailed previews, but says the goal is to create a more modern and convenient user experience.
Overall, Aéza's June update was less about dramatic announcements and more about a long list of practical improvements. Those updates rarely make the loudest headlines, but they often eliminate a surprising number of everyday annoyances at once.
